Central Air Systems

One System. Multiple Production Lines.

Plant-wide pneumatic conveying systems are engineered to transport trim, scrap, and lightweight waste from multiple production lines to a single centralized collection point.

Central Air Convey Systems connect multiple machines to a single collection point using engineered pneumatic conveying. Designed for long-distance transport and continuous operation, these systems efficiently handle edge trim, production scrap, and mixed waste streams while maintaining balanced airflow across every pickup location.

How Central Air Convey Systems Work

Every BloApCo Central Air Convey System is engineered around your production layout. From trim collection and cutting to pneumatic transport and material separation, each component works together to maintain continuous airflow and efficient scrap removal across your facility.

System Components

Pick-up Duct

Y-shaped duct designed to receive continuous edge trim from multiple machines simultaneously. Flexible and round duct configurations available.

Trim Cutters with Central Air Systems

Trim Cutter

Inline rotor with hardened blades chops continuous edge trim against a fixed bed knife. Available in 4″–16″ duct sizes to match your line speed and material weight.

Round Ductwork

Sized duct conveys cut material from the trim cutter to the material handling fan. Engineered for correct air velocity to keep trim suspended and moving.

Material Handling Fan

Features six open backward-swept blades on a rugged spoked hub. Scroll volute creates negative pressure at every pickup point and drives cut trim under positive pressure to the cyclone separator.

Triplet Cyclones with Diverters

Cyclone Separator (Air/Trim Separator)

Trim enters the top distribution box tangentially, spirals down the cylinder and cone, and discharges at the bottom to a baler, compactor, or bin. Clean air exits through the central vortex finder. No moving parts—low maintenance, continuous operation.

Collection Point

Separated material is discharged directly into a baler, compactor, hopper, trim bag, or collection container for efficient waste handling and disposal.

Common Applications

  • Corrugated Plants
  • Folding Carton Facilities
  • Flexible Packaging
  • Paper Converting
  • Label Converting

Central Systems Capabilities

Corrugators, folding carton lines, winders, laminators, and printers—all served by a single central system. Suction-side diverters balance airflow across every inlet.
Systems engineered for runs up to half a mile with static pressure calculated across every fitting. Easier to blow scrap hundreds of feet than to move it mechanically.
Winders and rewinders at 7,500 FPM demand equally fast scrap evacuation. Air velocities of 6,000–10,000 FPM keep trim under tension and moving continuously.
Every system is sized from first principles—CFM, static pressure losses, duct diameter, and fan HP—and calculated for your specific layout, materials, and line speeds.
BloApCo trim cutters segment continuous edge trim into conveyable lengths. Available for paper, poly-film, foil, and multi-layer laminates—sized to your duct diameter.
Air/trim cyclones matched to your system CFM. Separated material discharges cleanly to baler, compactor, or collection bin—continuous operation, no moving parts.
